Let me explain my scenario: I am 19 years old and came home from work today to find my beagle (8yo female neutered), Kaylee, lying on my back porch, dead, with a very swollen stomach and a lot of blood that had come out of her nose and mouth. I am having a very hard time dealing with the loss as I loved her very much and she was much more than just a dog to me. She had no health problems except she was a little overweight because, well, she loved food. Now, I never allowed Kaylee to go out in the front yard because it wasn't fenced in. I took her on walks instead. The back yard however is fenced in with no plants except for grass in it. Kaylee and my other dog, Duke, have gone in the back yard since they've been living at my house and have never come back with any illnesses, let alone dying. My dad does give the dogs bones once in a while but they are never sharp chicken-type bones, just round and dull for them to chew on. I am deeply saddened by the loss and I just have to know what exactly killed my beloved dog. She meant too much to me to just allow her death to go without knowing what killed her. Please help, I don't have the money to ask my vet for an autopsy. I just want to know what the possible situations are that killed her. The night before she died (last night) I saw her around 1am before going to bed and she was completely fine and happy. Please help..like I said, she meant way too much to me to just allow her to go without knowing how she went. How could she have died..and..was she in pain? Thank you very much for reading..I look forward to your response.

Add to Dog digging carpet
My dog (5yo female neutered Blue Heeler mix) is outside during the day and inside at night. I've only had her for 6 months- I got her from a friend. During the past month, she started scratching at our carpets ruining them. She only scratches them around the walls never in middle of the floor. Why is she doing this and what can I do to get her to stop? - Click here to read the answer
